We devote our energy on innovative, creative projects & dissemination

Youth in Science and Business Foundation (YSBF) was started at the beginning of this century in order to provide creative and hassle-free ways for young people to develop and realise innovative ideas, which could in long-term inspire change around the world. We were eager to provide young professionals with help and support by fostering creativity. Our first project was Innopia Innovation Olympiade, which was focused on teaching creativity to young people in Estonia. Skills of coming up with interesting ideas were important to us, and seeing creative inspiration made us happy about unlocking potential of young people by equipping them with adequate tools and skills. Thus, the search for innovative ideas and young talent began to transform them into reality.

YSBF is a non-profit foundation dedicated to supporting entrepreneurship, creativity, scientific research and innovative ideas. We are passionate about developing and spreading new technologies and ideas. It is fascinating to turn creativity into reality and science fiction into science fact.

Since 2001, we’ve been expanding our horizons and diversifying our projects, tackling everything from environmental challenges to fostering creativity. Today, we deal with several projects in different fields ranging from entrepreneurship, creating blended educational resources to creativity and innovative thinking.

Our activities are mostly international, with some projects in Estonia and partnerships with organizations from over 19 countries. We’re all about empowering young people, adults, women, and individuals with fewer opportunities, and we’ve got over 20 years of experience to prove it. We have received funding for our projects from European Commission, private sector companies, Estonian government, and international organizations.

At YSBF, we see innovative ideas and entrepreneurial actions as drivers of a successful society. Our goal is to create projects that will enhance the development of youth in multiple ways while also involving other groups in society. We believe that open and fun information exchange contributes to development and we strive to integrate this philosophy into all of our projects.

Creativity, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship

At YSBF, we believe in the power of creativity and innovation to generate valuable new ideas and approaches. Technical knowledge is an essential component of creative and innovation process, and we strive to help people to develop these skills. Creativity can greatly enhance the skills of craftsmanship, which are valuable for both young people and adults. We value the courage to come up with new ideas and the persistence to turn them into reality, as it is crucial for the development of businesses and individuals.

Undertaking IT development, data mining and research activities in international projects enables us to leverage our expertise in this field. Supporting development of digital skills provides a wider range of opportunities for people.

Dissemination of Science and Technology Information

At YSBF, we believe that it is important to share developments in science and technology with a wider audience across Europe. We understand that well-planned and executed dissemination is one of the key elements of a successful EU project and strive to communicate project results and advancements effectively.
